When are taxes due?

Property Taxes - For everything except motor vehicles, they are due September 1st and must be paid by January 5th to avoid interest charges. If mailed, payments must be postmarked by the US Postal Service on or before January 5th to avoid interest charges. If January 5th falls on the weekend, taxes are due the following Monday. Interest charges are 2% if paid January 6th through the 31st and an additional 3/4% each month thereafter.

Motor Vehicles - Property taxes on registered motor vehicles are now paid at the time of registration or renewal of your existing license plate.

When are property listings due?

All personal property listings are due by January 31st and if not received by then, there is a 10% penalty.

When do property reappraisals occur?

Property reappraisal, also known as revaluation, occurs at least every eight years. The last reappraisal occurred in January 2021.
