Jesse Helms Park serves Union County residents as well as surrounding areas, offering a playground, walking trail, soccer complex, picnic shelter, and picnic sites.

If soccer games are scheduled on a weekend, all facilities will be open during game times for public use.

Reservations

• The soccer complex has six full-size soccer fields that can be utilized for children and adult games upon request, as well as weekday practice sessions. 

• Reservations are required for use and must be received at least 48 hours in advance.
• Fields are open between April 1 and October 31 each year. 

• Shelter reservations must be received at least 48 hours in advance.
