2023 Filing Season Closed

The VITA program is no longer accepting applications for assistance with filing this year's taxes.

Tax preparationDon’t let the burden of filing your income tax return overwhelm you. We have volunteers that have been certified through the Internal Revenue Service that will prepare your federal and state income tax returns at no cost to you.

Eligibility

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $64,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.

You Must Qualify Before Proceeding with Next Steps

The VITA program for 2023 filing season has closed.

Residents can stop by the Human Services building at 2330 Concord Ave., Monroe to pick up a prep packet.

Walk inside and ask for one at our lobby or stay in your car and visit the drive-thru window.
