The City of Monroe and Union County Government Offices will hold a Patriot Day Ceremony at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, to honor the memory of those killed in the September 11 attacks in 2001.
Patriot Day is observed every year along with National Days of Prayer and Remembrance honoring first responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency workers, service members and civilians who rushed into action to save lives on September 11.
