Feral Swine Field Day

The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Veterinary Division, in partnership with Union County and Brown Creek Soil & Water Districts is hosting this informative workshop. Learn about the new feral swine trapping program and how you can benefit from their loaner trap program, which provides access to traps.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Current Situation: Understand the negative impact of the feral swine population in NC.
  • Trap Loan Program: Discover how the NC Department of Agriculture’s feral swine trapping program works and how to request a trap.
  • Trapping Techniques: Gain insights into effective trapping methods to ensure success.
  • Hands-On Demonstration: See a live demo on how to assemble and operate a feral swine trap.
