​Kevin Rigoli Named Fire Marshal

February 13, 2015, Monroe, NC – Kevin Rigoli has been named Fire Marshal for Union County. His first day with the county is Feb. 23.

Rigoli comes to Union County from the Monroe Fire Department where he was Fire Marshal since 2006. Rigoli began his career with the Monroe Fire Department in 1999 as an EngineerFire Equipment Operator. He was promoted to Fire Captain in 2000 and served in that position until he became Fire Marshal. He was the Public Safety Officer for the Monroe Police Department from 1995 – 1999.

Rigoli holds several certifications and licenses, including NC Fire Fighter Level II, NC Certified Fire and Arson Investigator, NC Level III Fire Inspector, NC Fire Instructor Level II, NC Hazardous Materials Level II and NC Fire Officer II.

Rigoli was born and raised in Union County and graduated from Parkwood High School in 1988. He is an Army veteran and served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

“I’m excited to be coming to Union County as Fire Marshal,” Rigoli said. “I got my start in the volunteer fire department, and I look forward to serving the same volunteer fire services that got me here today.”
